About Me and Phoenix Rising
My Work Has Always Been About Looking Beneath the Surface.
Long before Phoenix Rising became what it is today, I was fascinated by a simple question:
Why do some people heal, change, and transform while others remain stuck despite doing everything they’re told to do?
That question has shaped more than a decade of my professional life.
My background began in nutrition and holistic health. I trained in Functional Nutritional Therapy and herbal medicine and spent years working with people struggling with complex health concerns, chronic symptoms, food sensitivities, digestive issues, stress, and the relationship between physical and emotional wellbeing.
I learned to look for patterns.
To listen closely.
And perhaps most importantly, to recognize that what we see on the surface isn’t always where the story begins.
Over time, my work took me deeper.
From the Body to the Subconscious
The more people I worked with, the more interested I became in the connection between our life experiences and the way we experience ourselves.
That curiosity eventually led me to train in clinical and Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy.
My work expanded into trauma-informed hypnotherapy, inner-child work, subconscious pattern exploration, regression, grief, anxiety, addiction-related behavior, chronic pain and major life transitions.
And something changed.
Instead of only asking:
“What’s happening in the body?”
I began asking:
“What’s happening beneath conscious awareness?”
Hypnotherapy opened an entirely different doorway into my work.
And Then Came Something I Could No Longer Ignore.
Intuition.
Throughout my work with people, I found myself sensing things that weren’t always being spoken.
Images.
Symbols.
Energetic impressions.
A strong inner knowing about where a session wanted to go.
At times, I experience what I understand as information about a person’s energy or spiritual guidance.
For a long time, I kept this part of myself separate from my professional identity.
I don’t anymore.
Phoenix Rising represents the integration of everything I’ve spent years learning—the physical, emotional, subconscious, intuitive, energetic, and spiritual aspects of the human experience.
I don’t believe those worlds necessarily have to compete with one another.
Where Evidence Meets Mystery
One of the things that makes my approach different is that I haven’t arrived here through only one doorway.
My background spans holistic health, nutrition, herbal medicine, hypnotherapy, trauma-informed work, subconscious exploration, and intuitive and spiritual practices.
Today, my sessions may incorporate:
Hypnotherapy & Guided Trance
Trauma & Inner-Child Exploration
Shamanic Journeywork
Past-Life Regression
Spirit-Guide Journeys
Intuitive Guidance
Energy Healing
Expanded-State Exploration
I am careful not to pretend that every part of this work has the same scientific foundation.
Hypnosis has a growing body of research examining its effects on attention, perception and subjective experience.
Past lives, spirit guides and intuitive or energetic experiences belong to a different realm—one of spirituality, personal belief and individual interpretation.
I believe there is room for both evidence and mystery.
You are never required to believe what I believe in order to work with me.
Why Sacred Inner Journeys?
After years of working across different areas of healing, I realized there was a thread connecting almost everything I loved doing.
Going inward.
Beneath the everyday thinking mind.
Beneath the roles we’ve learned to play.
Beneath the patterns we’ve repeated.
Into the imagery, memories, emotions, intuition, symbolism and spiritual experiences that can emerge when we become deeply still and turn our attention inward.
That realization became:
Phoenix Rising Sacred Inner Journeys
And it is also why I’m fascinated by expanded states of consciousness.
Psychedelic substances have introduced many people to the idea that consciousness can be experienced differently.
But not everyone wants to take a psychedelic.
I offer another way to explore.
Through hypnosis, guided trance, imagery, shamanic journeying and other substance-free practices, we explore the extraordinary capacity of your own inner world.
Not as a substitute for psychedelic-assisted therapy.
Not as an attempt to reproduce a particular drug experience.
But as a different doorway inward.
The Phoenix Has Meaning Here.
A Phoenix doesn’t rise by pretending the fire never happened.
It transforms through it.
That metaphor has become central to the way I understand healing and personal transformation.
There are seasons when an old identity, relationship, belief system, way of surviving, or understanding of ourselves simply doesn’t fit anymore.
Something is ending.
Something else is emerging.
My work is about creating space for that transition.
Descend. Discover. Release. Remember. Rise.

You Don’t Have to Know Exactly What You’re Looking For.
Some people come to me because they want to heal something from their past.
Some are experiencing a spiritual awakening.
Some are curious about past lives or spirit guides.
Some are beginning to recognize their own intuitive abilities.
Some are fascinated by expanded states of consciousness but don’t want to use psychedelic substances.
And some simply tell me:
“I know there’s something deeper I need to explore.”
You don’t have to arrive knowing where the journey will lead.
That’s why it’s a journey.
